math 9 immersion
Math 9 Immersion is divided into 7 distinct strands which are sub-divided into units by the teacher in order to facilitate the learning process:
Strand 1: Number Sense (CO: A): Students will demonstrate number sense and apply number theory concepts.
Strand 2: Operation Sense (CO: B): Students will demonstrate operation sense and apply operation principles and procedures in both numeric and algebraic situations.
Strand 3: Patterns and Relations (CO: C): Students will explore, recognize, represent and apply patterns and relationships, both formally and informally.
Strand 4: Measurement (CO: D): Students will demonstrate an understanding of and apply concepts and skills associated with measurement.
Strand 5: Geometry (CO: E): Students will demonstrate spatial sense and apply geometric concepts, properties, and relationships.
Strand 6: Data Management (CO: F): Students will solve problems involving the collection, display and analysis of data.
Strand 7: Probability (CO: G): Students will represent and solve problems involving uncertainty.
